Learning Overview

The development of sustaining and abundant landscapes and culture is a complex and long-term process that challenges us to connect with others in this common journey. This section provides resources for developing regenerative human settlements.

We share methods in ecological land development and collaborate with others through learning programs such as short and extended workshops and through publicizing our findings. We also hope that this website provides inspiration and resources to help people develop their own invigorating and sustaining habitats.

Our programs include landscape and permaculture design as well as biofuel renewable energy courses. We’ve facilitated courses though universities, hospitals/therapeutic centers, high schools, middle schools, independent schools and at our proving ground in Moretown, Vermont. We place particular emphasis on programming for young people.

The following are some of the organizations through which we've facilitated learning programs:

The University of Vermont
Harvard University
Northeastern Organic Farming Association
Yestermorrow Design-Build School
The Island School
Bullock Brothers Permaculture Center
Vermont Earth Institute
Teal Farm
Windsor Mountain (formerly Interlocken) International Summer Camp
Renewable Energy Vermont
