Master Planning

A master plan conveys site development feasibilities, scenarios and strategies through graphic and textual form. This long range and broad scope plan is designed to take into account all land use goals and potential changes in development. It is during this process that major site features such as roadways, buildings, ponds and gardens are arranged. A master planning process saves time and money in site development at all phases of site work because change orders and mistakes in the complicated endeavor of site development are minimized. While master plans are crucial for large land development projects, even a small residential site of an acre or less benefits from a broad based land planning process that informs site design and development.
